Lipa Yai mushrooms originate from the small village of Lipa Yai on Koh Samui island. While they share similarities with the Koh Samui Super Strain (KSSS), also known as KS, there are notable differences between the two. Koh Samui is renowned for producing short and stout mushrooms, commonly referred to as “”fatties,”” whereas Lipa Yai mushrooms tend to be taller and more slender.
